Paola Salazar

I’m a Chicago artist that takes pride in calling herself a jack of all trades. My journey started as a confused Physical Therapy Major that really dreamt of being an artist one day. Just a year from graduation, I decided to scrap that major and start over as a Fine Arts Major at the University of Illinois at Chicago. My natural talents have always been firmly rooted in the drawing and painting of realistic subjects. However, that didn’t stop me from challenging myself, my goal in art school was to not be taught skills that I already knew how to do. This lead me into focusing on digital art like 3D modeling, 2D art, game design, creative coding, and digital fabrication. After graduating and dabbling in these mediums for a few years, I’d like to think that my work reflects more aspects of design, dimension, and innovative creation. It is on this site that I offer you a look into the work that both challenges and excites me.
